A Haiku For You and Maybe For Me

Have you ever written a haiku? What a simple, and spontaneous, way to stay connected to that wild, creative force inside of me. This craft is a beautiful way to bring imagination to the every day; to the little and the big things in your life. Not to mention, once I start with these haikus, they just keep coming.

White bird spreads her wings
Lifts off into the unknown
From the earth, she rises.

The black bird turns down

Into the deep black water

She is not afraid.

My heart awakens

Like the sun rise in the east

Ready for newness.

A haiku is comprised of three lines and always has a nature image in it. The first line is five syllables, the second is seven and the third is five syllables again. If you feel like it, write one. I would love to read it.
