Alive and Well
The Indian Ocean is one of the most beautiful places I have sunk my body in. Ever. It is five million shades of blue and green. It is warm. And has a lot going on underneath it's surface. I just plunked my butt white butt in the ocean and took it in. Breathing in and out. And did I ever feel grateful.
And, you know what is alive and well at the beach? Wonder. A little crab can just crawl right out from under you. A starfish can float in with the tide. A trumpet fish can glide right by and say hi with it's bright eyes. And a bright red seashell can float up with the tide. The sun can peer out behind the clouds and make you think you have died and gone to heaven. Just like that, you can be surprised with what lives underneath and above. I became more susceptible to wonder on the shores of Mauritius. The eyes of my children helped.

This picture is worth turning your laptop on it's side

Guess what is in Andrew's net? A big crab!

On our way out to snorkel in the Indian Ocean- after I saw an eel and reported it to Lizzie, she panicked, and then, "Just float," rose from my heart, and out of my mouth. And my daughter and I just floated..in the big blue mother..

Loved, loved, loved your description of the Indian Ocean...one of my favorite waters. Isn't it the best just dropping the old top and letting the gals float free.
Thanks Jenny
