When the Coyotes Howl
The coyotes howled last night, right before I went to bed. I am in the middle of the Santa Fe desert under the countless shining stars. I have tossed and turned all night and the sun is now rising. Have you ever known, had those moments, when you know that you are deeply aligned with your purpose, your call, what you came here for? When the coyotes howled last night, I knew. I am walking the path, listening to the ancient call of what I came here for. I am vulnerable. I am on the edge between fear and excitement. My chest rises and falls a little more shallowly these days. I feel unsure and confident at the same time. As I step into this call, I know my breath will deepen.
Do you see the signs in your life that speak to you of alignment with your call? Do you hear the whispers of support within to follow your heart? If you don't, just pay closer attention, mostly to your heart. The signs will come, like little high-fives along the way.
We are all unique expressions of a Whole that we will never be able to define. When we listen from within, we are invited to be an offering to each other and to this planet. Let us listen. When we do, we also serve the deepest longing of our hearts.
