Totally Possible

This afternoon as I practiced yoga, I watched a woman on her yoga mat. Her movement was full of grace, full of strength. It was a sheer pleasure witnessing her as she moved. She inspired me, by being grace. I became more committed to my practice right then and there, just by her presence. She never spoke a word to me.

Lately I have been very vulnerable in my leadership. A leader is at her best when she is devoted to the movement she is called to, and when she roots herself in the very Love that called her to that movement. I can forget this sometimes, when I am standing in the middle of resistance. The greatest leaders and teachers in my life are those who trust the teaching enough to become it.

A dear friend sent this to me today. It embodies what Gandhi tells us: Be the change that we want to see in the world. Easier said than done, but absolutely, totally possible.
